I got to witness the concept of "wake surfing" this weekend. Now that is COOL. Finding just the right spot in the wake, dropping the rope and following along behind the boat with no strings attached.

That's great if it's not done near piers with floating docks and boats tied up. They're making the biggest wave a wakeboat can possibly make. Lots of damage.

Amen to that. I almost lost my pier this weekend when a Centurian pushed enough water my way to put the corner of my pontoon up on the dock. I was standing there and it was really scary!

I love to cross in front of the boat doing the wake surfing while trimmed way up and cause the surfer to fall.

I hope you went with someone who has an inboard and rear platform rather than using your deck boat.....I would never surf behind an I/O because of the possibility of contacting the prop (even if you do have a swim platform). We have been wakesurfing for about 4 years now, and I've seen the board and riders end up in places you wouldn't expect. You must also pay attention to the possibility of carbon monoxide poisoning with this sport.
