It's where it should be.. 490' may be known as 'full pool.' but's it the max level for the lake.. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, folks..

It is still comfortable at my dock and boathouse. I am happy.

I just hope AL Power will keep it at close to this level as they can for as long as they can.

Is this current level a problem for anyone? Just a question?

always a hot topic when it is not 490.
Simple. If it rains in the Tallapoosa River Basin, the level stays up. If not, the level falls. And even APC cannot control rainfall.
I'll take July 2009 at 489 plus change any day over July 2007, when I needed binoculars to see the water's edge.

Right on Mack. You and I think the same.

If you look at the normal water levels it is typical to be at 489 or below this time of the summer. Considering this time two years ago I closed up my house and we were joking that someday we would love to own a lake house I am more than happy. Maybe we will get lucky like we did last year and have a nice tropical storm mid-summer and we will be back up close to 490 but this is still great water. Especially since it has been dry for the last two weeks or so.

The level right now is good for me. However 5 inches lower than this gets to the bottom of my seawall and then I have muddy water. It's red clay mud.

For year's I've thought it would be good to create a sandy beach. My cousins did that at their place, but they have to replenish the sand with a dump truck every couple of years. No big deal I guess, but it's easier for them since they are in the concrete business as sand is plentiful and cheap.

It'll be interesting to see if the level takes a nose dive after the TV cameras leave this weekend. I'll bet it does. RL's got power.

Maybe they need to schedule it a little later in the summer so we get high water for a greater portion.

I guess I should of been clearer on what body of water I was talking about. I'm on Wedowee, 4th of July weekend it's full and 4 days later it's a foot low. I don't get it.
I understand, no rain no water but for it to drop a foot in the 4 days I was gone is crazy.
I live up in a slew so I notice every inch.
