I think the Webmaster should purchase it, set up the Web Server in the top of the boat house, and let Steve store the Cat-machine there. Rest of the house could be used as club for LM forum members. Heck we could host Aquapalooza '10 on front lawn.

I will be glad to help you and Hound with the move in return for "House Privledges"...

Perhaps we can get some stimulus money to purchase the joint for use as a forum hangout - kinda like a Cathouse, only different. The power bill may even be less than that of Al's, so that would make it "green".

All I can say is that Mr. Scrushy was getting a heck of a deal on his property taxes if it was only valued at $5M.
The house itself is a little over the top for my taste, but the grounds are exquisite.

B'ham News had an article in it today about Mr. Scrushy having to beg the court to let him sell some of his frozen assets because his family is suffering from a shortage of cash and they're having trouble making the payroll for those they employ. Guess he hasn't figured out yet that when the shareholders and the court system get done with him, he's going to be living in much reduced circumstances than he's used to.

that Alan Jackson and Courtney Cox are divorcing their spouses, marrying each other and moving into the Scrushy cabin ... serously ... a friend of my cousin's boyfriend's sister is a good friend of Courtney ... true story ... :)

VIP courtesy in one of umpteen bedrooms/baths, gourmet dining in the sloarium, pool, extensive docking facilities, guided tours either by cigarette boat or seaplane.
Hey, good deal. Charge $400/nite and see where it goes??

Actually the building next to it (larger than our place and a lot of others on the Lake) is the band house where Mr. Scrushy used to perform with his band. It is part of the property.

Doubt WP would allow that. But heck, houses in Hamptons go for 35-50k per week.

Is the Scrushy property under the convenants of Willow Point or even a part of Willow Point?

Was it originally deeded from Russel or Albama Power?

A B&B would be interesting, but the buyer would have to be very careful and check for any Covenants, deed restrictions and etc.

Maybe John Coley will know.

Since he bought the lot from RL, I would imagine it is subjected.
