I have met Dr. Price and have a friend who knows him very well, well enough to know the good Dr's agenda is not to improve the nation's healthcare system but is rather to protect the insurance industry that finances his campaigns.

I am sure that is it. So are you saying that you agree with Obama care or are just saying that he has an agenda and not maintaining the best interest of the best healthcare system in the world. Who has a better healthcare system than the US? Why is it that when people from other countries with national healthcare can not get treatment or quality doctors they come to the US?
I would be interested in your view on my post on Canada's healthcare since you were talking about they live longer and seem to think it is so much better. My old company was huge in canada and did significant business there ... everyone hated the national program and I heard these same stories all the time.
That is why canada is working to move back to private medicine and get the government out of it.

Without getting into the politics of it, I think Dr. Price made one excellent point -- it's too important to just ram it through. I certainly preferred what he had to say vice Orin Hatch this morning who was so clearly entrenched in his "them and us" mentality, he could only spout rhetoric.

He knows most about the Insurance care system. When he practiced medicine it was in one of the most affluent areas of the U.S. where healthcare was certainly not a problem. It is a very different situation in much of the country and in many economic demographics.

You may presume too much about Dr Price, I know the area he practiced in.........which doesn't mean he would not or could not understand his field around Ga or the southeast. There are quite a few doctors who also come from modest means and less than urban areas who probably never forget their raising. A first cousin came from less than modest means just like me (didn't have a pot to pee in) and went on to graduate Emory at Oxford medical school and served down at rural Jessup Ga as part of a deal to pay off his loans.......he didn't forget. It could be that a less cynical view of Dr Price is that a man smart enough to do medical school, and practice, and run for congress.... did not leave his brains back at his drs office when he got elected. I think I'll trust him before I will Charles 'I didn't know I had to pay those taxes' Rangel, or Nancy, or Ted, or Chris 'countrywide' Dodd, or............

I hope neither Dr. Price nor your cousin received their MD at the Emory Univ.Junior College located in Oxford. Dr. Price practiced in and now represents the richest district in GA which is also one of the richest in the nation.

Speaker Pelosi called insurers the villians in the HC overhaul effort............" It is somewhat immoral what they are doing".....Speaker P ranked 55th among the 111th congress in $$$$ collected from the health care insurers........ Speaker Ps spokesman said she will not return the $$$$......what was that comment about Dr Price? Can you see your way clear to castigate her majesty......the Dem star of the pure liberal left...?!

If she were a liberal but little known back-bencher I doubt she would be so blessed with attention from any industry that leans right. BTW do you have any statistics of where Gingrich and Hastert ranked?

Wikipedia says that Dr. Price is ranked as the MOST PARTISAN member of Congress by his fellow members. Of course most of you would consider that a definite plus.

I like partisan......Sam Nunn was, Paul Coverdale was, Newt was,Give em Hell Zell was,...... and they had conservative credentials. What's wrong with that? Surely you liked the Dems I listed?!
