who is going to do all these jobs the illegals do? That is why we should support them.
I don't know, it sure seems that if we were not spending $350 billion a year to support illegals, then taxes could be lower and the legal people would be paid and the government get more tax dollars since illegals do not pay taxes and business that employ them would not be paying the matching in to SS & medicare that the illegals draw from as well.

I have followed this side of the Forum for far too long.
All I can say is you folks need to find a more applicable Forum where your opinions and debate might make a difference.
You are fishing in a very small pool here which makes your arguments seem astronomical, and you receive very little to widen your minds and thoughts. Unless, you are just looking for someone to agee with you all the time??? You will never learn anytyhing by hearing what you already think you know.
You are also not receiving the number of listeners to make your post worth while. You are simply twiddling your tumbs for your own personal satisfaction.
If you are going to debate an issue or a position, please do not waste your time here. Find a place where you can make a difference.
I am saying this in an attempt to direct your brain power and worth-while time to a beneficial audience.
I am not attempting to tell you what to do but simply pointing out you continue to debate with folks who agree with you all the time.
What is the point? Jeezzus, you need to get a life.

Your superior approach is typical. This forum is no more, or less, than friendly conversation. At times, dominated by fact, other times, by opinion, and, when you and the other PRIUS drivers jump in, dominated by fiction. Frankly, I am quite happy with the way members use this page. Feb, I know Hound is your "better" half. I personally enjoy her point of view. I may not always agree, but it is a spirited debate. In terms of posting thoughts elsewhere ... how do you know people do not? But even if they do not, it is still expressing a point of view and sharing information with others that may not be well informed. If they read it, they have an interest. You are reading it and I am sure many others are as well even if they do not want to participate in the discussion.
Yes it is a forum related to lake Martin ... but to me it is like sharing information with your neighbors. If this is where they come to read topics about the lake and other things ... those that want to read the off topics can, but they are not forced to.
While we still have this "freedom" it is nice to enjoy.
Having served our country to protect those freedoms, I would think you would support and agree.

how many people there are that think they know what is best for others. This not only applies to this topic but by both political parties. All I see now is crooked people elected that try to shove all of their beliefs down the throats of others. If you do not like what is discussed on this forum then don't read it. I have strong opinions on a lot of subjects but I don't try to force anyone else to feel the same way. They are free to form their own opinions based on others opinions or what they research and to make up their on minds.

You obviously don't know Feb at all. Don't forget that he grew up in Alabama and is one of the most conservative people I know (well beyond this forum anyway). But, he is willing to think about issues and ask questions, and we don't allow any mainlines to Rush in this house.
