Hound makes a reasonable post about a political "scum-bag" who, happens in this case, to be a Democrat, and you hijact the thread and start naming Republicans who have done the same. We could go on forever naming philanderers on both sides of the aisle but, what is the point. This is a sad, sad situation compounded by her health issues. I personally don't give a shi!! about what media coverage it garners, WW, or his political persuasion, GF. I just think it sucks for her and I, yes me, the uncaring, greedy, right wing extremist, feels very sorry for her. I've said it before and I will say it again, other than murder or rape, in my opinion, the worst sin is cheating on your spouse. If you feel the urge to do this, either "man-up" or "woman-up" and get divorced and have at it. That is all.

You are right. But, in his case (and some others recently), they hold themselves up as devout family men, capitalize on how great their marriages are -- and then it turns out it's all a charade.

I don't particularly care about their affairs because that is a private matter, but don't pretend to be something you aren't.

I totally agree with you. I just hope and pray that Elizabeth can get through her most difficult times. Her children and hopefully, other family members, will be a comfort. I doubt John Edwards will be able to give her much of that...he has a new baby to acknowledge.
