I am surprised Georgia did not make the top 10 list.

"Alabama is the most politically conservative state in the nation, according to a new Gallup Poll.

Gallup says that 49 percent of Alabamians identify themselves as conservative. Alabama was followed by Mississippi, where 48 percent identified themselves as conservative. Others on the top 10 conservative list are: Utah, Louisiana, Oklahoma, South Carolina, North Dakota, South Dakota, Idaho and Wyoming.

The District of Columbia was ranked as the place where the largest percentage of people identified themselves as liberal. Massachusetts, Vermont, Oregon, Washington, New York, New Jersey, California, Hawaii and Connecticut rounded out the top 10 liberal states."

So which one of Mrs. Clinton's actions are you disapproving of: being a liberal, being a woman, or just being ugly? Or maybe you just disapprove of ugly women in general whether they act or not. Given your sweeping and uninformed generalizations about who is liberal and who is not, you might not really be in a position to approve or disapprove of others' actions in the name of all conservatives.

Why don't you just state the obvious and stop dancing around the issue. You guys are too smart to be playing games. There is nothing racist that the majority of residents of the city of Atlanta are black. Obviously, you drive downtown and you see alot of blacks. Blacks tend to vote Democratic. Most ACORN menbers I assume are Black. ACORN members are Democrats and liberal. These are facts and in the news. Nothing racist.

-first, let me state that it is difficult to determine a person's "tone " in emails or posts, so i don't know exactly where you're coming from in above post. and if I've misinterpreted your comments, I apologize beforehand.
-BUT..... since you called me out dircetly, and in my opinion have implied I was somehow racist or dancing around the the race issue in my above post, let me say very clearly that ---I RESENT THE IMPLICATION. I would also appreciate an apology either for your implication or for stating your post in such a way that it inadvertently coould be determiined that way.
-My post above, aasking how one could interpret a town's "liberalism" just by ridng through was just that, a question to make people think.. In most cases you must hear someone speak. or read what someone has written, or observe someone's acts to determine their beliefs, --not how they look. Additionally, thinking you can know what a person thinks or believes by how they look, is not racism, it's stupdity.
-Other than my COMPLETE RESENTMENT at your implications about my questiion, I agree with everything else you said in your above post.

has taken a bad turn. I mentioned McKinney as a bad representative, because she was an embarrasment to the legislative branch of government (which enjoys a 15% approval rating, so maybe it was her greatest accomplishment.) It had absolutely nothing to do with race... She insisted that Bush knew in advance that 9-11 was going to happen, wanted Cindy Sheehan to replace Pelosi (maybe not a bad idea) and assaulted a Capital Policeman for doing his job.. The lady occupied a seat in Washington, accomplised zero, and was a waste of taxpayers dollars; basically a loose cannon in my opinion... So let's all drop this one, agreed??

First, I don't know whether MARTA deserves bashing or not.

But hypothetically, if it were poorly run and still gets 500K cars off the road, how many might it get off the road if it were more convenient, efficient, and cost effective?

Now y'all can debate whether it is or isn't efficient and effective, but we need to ask if good ( the present 500K cars) can be better ( a potential 600K, 700K, a million?). Would seem to me "better" would be attractive to everyone, liberal and conservative.

You are of course correct Mr H. If MARTA was better run they could probably up the totals considerably. It will go up even more once the newcommers to Cobb and Gwinnett county finally overwhelm the old school racist rednecks who still call all the shots in those Counties and demand MARTA be extended into those environs. And another jump will occur once the Neanderthals currently running the state of GA realize that Atlanta is actually part of the state and begin to cooperate on public and mass transit rather than obstruct it.
