Can you believe this?

The democrats wanting to get more "equality" are proposing an adult lunch card that you can apply for if you make $75m a year or less. Basically you present the card and your cost for lunch at most restaurants and fast food establishments will be discounted. Kind of like a negative tax. The establishment will have to then file, like a tax return to the governement to get reimbursed.

If an establishement does not take the card, they will be assessed during their quarterly filings to help pay for the program. The balance of the program will be paid by those making over $175,000 a year.

It seems that someone surfaced this in a town hall meeting to Obama that they work and have to buy lunch every day. But tghey only make $40m a year and have to pay the same for lunch that someone that makes a lot more pays. So as a percent of their salary it is a lot more. Obama said he would look in to it and now this proposal has surfaced.

Share the Wealth ... Equality for all. Ah yes the joy of Capitalism?????

I'm with you Hound ... I googled it ... I bing'd it ... I went to foxnews.com and glennbeck.com and I can't find anything about this. One of the things that doesn't ring true is the $75K cap ... I can't believe anybody would suggest that someone making that much per year needs help with lunch. I more believable lie would have been $35K or $25K ....

WW ... do you really expect us to discuss/debate the merits of a program/proposal that none of us can find any record of? Show us where you got the info for your original post ... Although in real life I prefer brunettes ... I just couldn't choose the snobby Veronica over girl next door Betty ... perhaps they should be polyamory :)
