Well, NC2 made a link/video. So, here is the last 48 hours at Cathouse Marine. 385 cu. in. Small block from 22' Scarab. Nice project. Hope you find it interesting. It is a rebuild after 400 hours of use.

The build pics is something that I really enjoyed and appreciate. From 2000-2005, I helped sponsor a race car that ran on dirt tracks, It was an 84 Chevy with a 351 block slightly over. We were allowed to use Vortex heads and any cam we wanted. However, they restriced us to a 2 barrel which pretty much limited the cam.
It was always interesing testing different rear end ratios and tire pressure. Whenever we came in 1,2,or 3rd we had to remove whatever plug they asked us to and they would shine a light inside to verify we were not using domed pistons. We were totally honest with the engine. Everyone had a trick or two, I found out last year that ours was a lightened flywheel!!! Each winter we rebuilt the engine. I really miss it.

I have a little ways to go with this engine. It was ALL I could do in two days. Lots of work. I'll try to do the 38' Cigarette Top gun with pics. (It's as tall as Madison). Funny, my hands are as clean as they were days ago. :) This is a nice project! It is fun to do this work, and the A/C set on 70 degrees. It was a wonderful two days of work. NC2, you gotta put me some music to that slide show!!!!! "Highway to He11" would be nice.. :0

What one the Engine rebuild? Sure, Get me some MORE Pics from the shop in general to add some time filler. Most tunes are 3 to 5 min long.
I will make ya something nice you can put on your site.
