That was good to see. Until your post it's been hard to smile today since my office took on 20" of water in the Great 2009 Atlanta Flood. First time in my life I've seen manhole covers being lifted by water! Just another interesting life adventure.:-}

Don't worry. The building is fine even though I didn't design it. I am however p.o.'d at whoever designed and calculated the capacity of the area storm drainage system!!!

If bids are let the same way as here in Birmingham, the only two qualifications needed to win a contract are the ability to pay bribes and minority ownership at some point in the company (sad but true). I hope you guys do not have much damage, and use the water to hone your canoe/kayak skills - wonder how MARTA would be....

While i also live in Atlanta, I worry more about Alabama water situation. Right now, no one is talking about hording water. :) Everyone looks good rightnow. While most of Atlanta still has not lifted the water restrictions, the water police are not out giving tickets for washing your car or watering your lawn.

Since the sewers in my neighborhood were built in the 1930's I can assure you there was no consideration of minority participation. My office is still a mess. I threw out all the files that were in the bottom drawer of all file cabinets. I guess the past DEF, KLM, and RSTU clients no longer exist. This too shall pass.
