<<from the a.p/ wire service 4:25am et>> pasted/:@2

Today, Sunday Sept. 27th CAT has challenged said Jason Parker of Tallassee Alabama to a race on the Alabama River. As of press time, Parker had accepted above challenge and has began preperations on his race boat as of 7:00am this morning at an undisclosed location in Montgomery, Al.. The race course will start at the I-65 Alabama river bridge and end just south of Millbrook Alabama. The course will cover approx. 1.5 miles. Speeds should be excessive, tensions will be running high. As Parker prepares his 1991 SeaRay 270 cruiser, powered by a pair of Mercruiser 4.3ltr. V-6 engines, CAT has began preparations of his 1994 Wellcraft 30ft. MonteCarlo Cruiser powered by a pair of Cathouse Performance 5.0 ltr. 200 hp. V-8 Mercs. "All this adds up to some serious power", says Parker! "We're looking at around 750 total horsepower between both boats, thats some serious stuff", he claims. Employess gathered at Cathouse Marine about dawn this morning to discuss the strategy and tuning proceedures for the cruiser. Speeds are expected to be somewhere in the 40 mph range, and tensions are running high. "We'll do the best we can, push the thottles up and hope we don't trash a drive with all that power", says CAT. Race time is set for sometime around 2:30pm this afternoon. ESPN coverage begans at 2:00pm.

I will write more slowly so that you will understand - my toys are NOT banned, I will however grace your slough with an example of a plowing boat producing large destructive wake and loud music just to show you how this law is a farce. I am also inviting all of my beer drinking friends - since I do not have a head on the boat, we will all have to use the fishes toilet. You guys come on down to the pier for the show.

Please tell me how you will benefit from the law - I am still waiting for a valid reason to justify the ban.

Well, the Sea Ray broke a shift cable. That got repaired and shortly afterwards it lost a water pump and could not race. We'll try again this weekend. I might put a big #24 on the side of the Wellcraft for some extra speed.

I know the flu is going around, it is possible that he had friends (not likely) over, and ended up with a sore throat after Friday night.

Is the party still on? We can meet at the nearest marina for a few cocktails prior to visiting the slough.

Always on - the boss likes Bud Light Draft, so that is what it is. We are at the lake most weekends - let me know when/where you are, we can meet.... Can head over and meet Bob, try to figure out why he has prop-envy so bad.
