I don't know Mr McCain nor have I ever contacted him or tried to hire him.
The problem is customer service, and he is not the only contractor that seems to have this attitude. It's an attitude of indifference. I wish that when I call someone, if they are booked solid or don't have an interest in my job, they would just tell me upfront. Customers are kept waiting for a call back, waiting for a no-show, waiting for the estimate that never comes. I don't know why this is so hard. It is also short sighted - beause while work may be plentiful now, down the road it might not be the case, but you will have been written off by potential customers, because you didn't bother to respond on another job. Some people might not call you out on the forum, but if you didn't respond, you can be sure that a discreet email may be exchanged about you. Great customer service will save your reputation.
