Just upgraded my Dish 500 to Dish Networks new Super Dish. Local channel reception is stellar and finally get to tear down my 15’ x 6’ eye-soar antenna used to access local channels. Dish upgrade was $24.95 and free if Dish has your credit card on file for billing purposes. (see link below) Local channels are $5.95 per month and are as follows out of Montgomery:

ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, UPN, PBS

Dish size is approximately 35w x 24h, only works with more current receivers. Check with installer to ensure your receiver is compatible; mine were only 9 months old.

Uses a third satellite to pick up local channels.

Finally major network sporting events at the lake without having to go on the roof and adjust the antenna.

Just thought I would pass along this bit of info, to the other poor souls whom do not have cable availability in their area on the lake.
