Why he agreed to this debate is beyond me, other than foolishly believing it will raise his national stature.....note, it didn't, quite the opposite actually.  As for the results this sums it up perfectly:

Democrats:  DeSantis sure made Newsome look bad.  Ouch!

Republicans:  DeSantis crushed Newsome...not even close.

Independents:  I wonder why I ever considered Newsome as an appealing candidate. He was awful and has an awful story to tell.

Gov't Media:  Newsome crushed DeSantis!!  He's ready for prime time!

One thing I will say for him, he is amazingly willing and able to spout abject lies and do so with a smarmy smile on his face.  He makes KJP look like an amateur in the lying category.  I started off saying I'd like to say I feel sorry for him because in a debate about red states/blue states it is between one of the best run states against the worst run state.  Newsome, like Dementia Joe, just has really bad facts on his side and was in a hole before the thing started.  One other point, this is why the GOP should tell the Presidential Debate Commission to pound sand.  Having a moderator that presents the facts so it wasn't three or four against one is a game changer.

My favorite moments:

1.  Newsome's in-laws that moved from CA to FL

2.  The poop map and pointing out how they cleaned up SF for a ChiCom dictator

3.  The gay pornography from a book that is in grade schools in CA

4.  The freedom comment, free to defecate in the street, open air drug markets, looting, create homeless encampments under bridges and set the on fire. 

5.  Newsome's wife or whatever she is threw in the towel and ended the masssacre...er...eum...debate.
