I think if you have college covered for the youngest and a decent retirement fund for yourself established, then just maybe. I currently have my Brother's Son periodically look after my place since I lost my renter, but it is sporadic. He is in Wetumpka and it is a haul for his trips to to my Lake place. So, I chip in extra to try to cover his gas expense. I think the biggest concern is the travel time and gas expense of running from place to place since the Lake is so spread out. Could you come up with enough business if you concentrated on just one section of the Lake? Larger projects such as landscapping along with lawn maintenance and cabin caretaking might work.

I am rather out of touch, so don't rely on my view point.
