I agree with you to some extent Doc. Yes, Walter Reed was on the BRAC. It would of been foolish to pour money into something that was about to close.

On the other hand, it was malficent to place our brave injured soldiers and sailors in such a place.

Our leadership (including the President, his cabinet and Congress) do stupid things to put us further in debt all the time. Look at all the stupid looking new minted nickles, dimes and quartrers the Treasury Dept. is producing. I understand the new bills because of counterfieting. I wonder the cost is for every new design, machinery and etc. for pretty new coins. I would bet it is some idiot's claim to fame.

You are correct, in my opinion, some of the removals and blame have been directed too low on the totem pole. It is the fault of our leadership (definition stated above) to include the Commander in Chief.

If the VA is any indication, it is the fault of generations of National Leaders.

I do not blame the press. Without them, it would still be going on. This was just a bump in the road to most ot our leaders.
