SNOB (Slightly North of Broad) has some great crabcakes and High Cotton is good as well, but both are about $$$ plus on a $$$$ scale.

Hymans is a tourist trap and not worth the wait.  The Boathouse used to have some really good (and spicy) shrimp and grits but they closed their location on East Bay.  If you venture out as far as Isle of Palms Morgan Creek Bar and Grill is good.
