I had just the opposite problem one day back in the 80s. My boss wanted to put down a mooring line for his sailboat at Dixie Sailing Club. Well, he didn't do outboards so he took me along to drive the club's 18 foot toon. So I, my boss, his executive officer and three used 18 wheler trailer brake drums were loaded onto this little pontoon boat and we started out to the area where he was sinking the three drums, connected by a chain to the floating ball. Problem was a squall came up as we were on our way out and water started lapping ove the front of the toon deck. I was driving with the little 20 horse outboard giving it everything it could. I decided to slow down because of the rough water and did so too quickly. Without the torque of that little otboard holding the front of the toon where it was, it dipped, caught water, and we ended up about like that tritoon, but nose down instead of nose up. For a brief moment I wondered if I would skipper the first pontoon submarine in history....lol
