It appears so although it will never get to his desk with Dems in charge of the Senate. He has sent marching orders to Harry Reid to block funding the govt. Frankly this time around having Dems shut down the govt over the wildly unpopular Obamacare will be a huge mistake. Regardless of the govt media's biased coverage, the truth will get out that the real reason the govt is shutting down is that Dems want us to pay more for health care insurance, pay taxes if we don't have insurance and set up the death panel that will decide Grandma doesn't deserve that treatment. So far I am encouraged by what the GOP is doing although its sad they had to be dragged there kicking and screaming.
And what happens when govt shuts down? To me and you, nothing! The media will proceed to parade a bunch of whining, sniveling liberal SIEU members out to cry about how they can't feed their children and could lose their house, etc. It didn't work in 1994 and it definitely won't work today. Why? Because in 1994 we had a much better economy than today. And in 1994 six of the ten wealthiest counties were not around the centers of govt like Washington, DC. And in 1994 we did not have record numbers on food stamps, a labor participation rate equal to 1978, record numbers of people on SS disability because they can't find a job, real unemployment at 11%, etc., etc., etc. And we didnt have FoxNews, the internet, numerous conservative talk shows dominating radio, etc. In essence we didn't have five years of a worthless piece of crap community agitator as president.
This is going to be a disaster for Dems and some have figured it out. The rest will in 2014........
