For those that travel to New York City, put a line in the sand for December 4, 2013 as this is the beginning of yet another attempt at progressive policies ala David Dinkins and his predecessors.  We had dramatic improvement for the better in NYC under the leadership of Rudy Guliani.  Then we have had a gradual but perceptible degradation under nanny Bloomberg, the RINO cum Independent (i.e. really a Democrat with some conservative leanings). Apparently far too New Yorkers have been around long enough to remember what the city was like under Democrat mayors and want to try it again.  Watch and learn that history indeed repeats itself and nothing is new under the sun.

One important caveat that is probably unnecessary, I am assuming de Blasio will indeed pursue liberal, big government policies that he expressed in his campaign.  While I am not optimistic, I suppose there is a remote possibility that he may renege on his campaign promises and actually not grasp defeat from the jaws of victory.  If he remains true to form I fully expect him to not blame the ideology for the inevitable results of liberal policies but to take the lead of SLOTUS and blame his predecessors.  Watch and pay attention.......taxes, crime, regulations, deviancy, incivility, etc. will all be on the rise....wait and see.....
