There is a great video I saw of a speaker explaining to a Muslim woman why tens or even hundreds of millions of moderate, peaceful Muslims are irrelevant.  Her point was simple and powerful.  She mentioned that millions of Germans were peace loving but they were irrelevant.  Hitler still marched on Europe with tens of millions of lives were lost on the battlefield and in concentration camps.  And many Russians were peaceful as well and yet Stalin killed tens of millions.  Likewise millions of peaceful Chinese didn't stop 70 million people from being killed.  Same story in Vietnam/Cambodia, Japan and every other mass killing that occurred in the last 100 years.

As she rightly pointed out there are over 1 billion Muslims in the world and according to the polls anywhere from 15%-25% of them are radicalized.  Those 150 million to 250 million Muslims matter.  All the rest are irrelevant.  That is a brilliant, logical and well reasoned response to the all too commom meme that we can't paint all Muslims with the actions of a minority.  The majority are irrelevant.
