My guess, if it hasn't already happened, is that the left and the media (I know, I repeat myself) will try to blame this on the inflamed rhetoric of Trump and/or other conservatives.  The sad news about this is neighbors were very suspcious of all these arab men coming and going late at night but didn't report it lest they be labeled a racist.  We have lost our collective minds.....well, California lost theirs some time ago.  Any GOP candidate that claims the problem isn't Islam is clueless.  How else do you explain a young couple with a child, at least the husband having been born in the U.S., would go from being devout Muslim to murderous terrorist.  That is what Islam teaches, what many Imams preach and what will continue to happen until we realize what is going on.

As for self protection, while I agree a handgun is not a match with an AR-15 I can assure you it is better than hiding with your hands over your head hoping they pass you by.  These Islamofascists wanted to kill as many people as they could.  If even one person started to shoot back with a handgun it seems to me possible, if not likely, that they would move onto other unarmed victims.  Something is better than nothing even in the hands of a rank amateur.  That's why I have a concealed carry license and take my gun with me everywhere.  But I also practice and think about how I would handle certain situations.  One thing for sure, as my Dad always taught us, if you pull out a gun you better be willing to use it.  Never had to and hope I never do........but if I need to I dang sure will.....
