Ask your parents what they would do without Medicare. It has done more to meet the medical needs of seniors. The program has low adm costs and provides Seniors the opportunity to select their own docs. It dies have fraud issues but so does auto and homeowners insurance.

You better hope there a single payer when you reach that age. There are limited supplemental policies that fill in the gaps. The age needs to be raised to 68 to solve some of the financial issues. Seniors with Medicare are not dying in the streets. It is easy to be negative about evrything until you need it. I have never met a deplorable who turned down Medicare cause it is single payer.
