Too bad, you have such a diifficult time thiniking outside the box. Everything with you is either black or white. The question can the word HOPE be considered a threat. You never answered the simple example of how your "employee" would view your use of the word HOPE in the example. Would the "employee" feel that your use of the word HOPE was a threat to stop renting a $400/day car if they wanted to continue working for your company?

Let me answer it for you, if the employee valued their job they would rent a compact going forward.
