I reread your post and I am confused. I initially read the constantly to mean it stayed on the entire trip. The upon rereading I now see that it only went off at the dock and at the rock. The latter would not appear to be fluid related. I recall seeing a dramatic change in depth the only time I went to the rock as I traveled between the islands. I noticed on my depth finder the change and planned to return to fish which I never did.

You may want to post on the SCUBA thread to see if a diver can help with what is down there. If you have GPS, provide the divers with the coordinates.
