Man, they must have really been afraid of discovery to settle for upwards of $30M.  cnnBS learned a hard lesson that cBS does not want to copy..discovery means any and all internal communication.  I assume their lawyers went through all their internal communications and told them to settle ASAP.  What a few weeks Trump had had....he told us we would get tired of winning and I didn't think that was possible but he may end up being right.  Next win will be the passage of the OBBB....which I inly count as a partial win given the lack of sufficient spending cuts but no tax increase for taxpaying Americans at all income levels will be worth it.

At this rate the fake news is going to fully fund the Trump Presidential library.  RFLMAO!!!

Speaking of dumb@ss!.....nothing you posted is true. The $15 million will go toward Trump legal fees to bring the suit and the remainder to his library.

The FOX statement was at the end of a discussion with no evidence. He**, the suit was for $20 million, why would they settle for $30 million? Fox probably increased the amount to $30,000,000 to lessen the impact of their payout of $750,000,000 f0r lying. Now, that is funny chit and you fell for it.

Now that is indeed a very good question and likely only he and his team can definitively answer.  But my very well reasoned belief is that it was never about the money....he already has more than he needs.  His primary goal was to force the govt media, to the extent possible, to in the future at least not lie and cover up for Democrats, defame Republicans because they have picked sides, etc.  He knows the only way this happens is for them to admit guilt by settling instead of  fighting it out in court.  Not only that, they have agreed to provide unedited transcripts in the future.  So the answer as to why Trump settled may indeed be that simple. 

The more relevant and important question should be why would cBS settle a lawsuit that in my view is very winnable from their perspective...unless they have something really damaging to hide.  The answer is not risking discovery where what they really said and conspired to do behind the scenes is front and center for all the world to see (as we saw with aBS in the lawsuit they foolishly didn't settle). 

The media is already wildly distrusted and disliked.  If people saw the behind the scenes back and forth where they knowingly and intentionally conspired to make Biden look sentient it would do far more damage than $16M or $30M or whatever the settlement really entailed.  Beyond the fear of actually losing if malice can be proved, the damage to their reputations would be far worse by discovery.  Their attorneys, like all good ones, looked at everything and advised their clients to settle rather than risk full disclosure of the extent to which they recognized Biden was mentally incompetent and they knowingly and conspiratorially decided to cover for him because they are not journalists, they are partisan Democrat hacks masquerading as journalists who have picked sides and would abandon all pretense of intellectual honesty to get what they want politically.   I can only imagine the internal emails and texts that were exchanged leading up to this editing effort.
