I wanted to see the variety of these ugly things (just my opinion) and there is a large variety.

in part I agree with your assessment on them being the not most attractive things. My other question is, cause we are seeing them everywhere. Those that have them - are they used that often or are they just a novelty that will wear off. would a diving board off the front of the dock be better? At the end of the dock, at full pool, we are at 16 feet.

The thought might occur to someone. I wonder if the WP will take any enforcement action?

We got our from cabela. It's alot of fun for the kids but alot of work for us. We are weekend people. I would buy something to pull behind a boat. They are more fun.

Our neighbors have one, this summer was it's second year of use. When they took it out they had numberous leaks in it. Not sure if it was fireants or what that did the damage as they stored it in a metal shed and when they took it out they had ants on/in it.
On the flip side, they were able to patch it.
They and their kids and our kids love it. I'm just not going to put one in front of my house, nor would I blow it up every weekend and put it down every weekend. But if I were a kid, I'd jump on it.

Good Morning TIVO, I have no issue with these fun looking toys for the young folks. In fact the fellow that rents my cabin has a huge one to the left of my boat dock for his youngsters. It does not protrude out further than the dock/pier.
A few years back folks were putting marking buoys out away from their lots and piers to preclude or caution boat traffic. As has been discussed on the Forum, that is no longer allowed (maybe never was) or at least without special permission (???)
If these large toys are placed out beyond the docks/piers then they might also be serving the same purpose as the former buoys. Lets just hope everyone likes seeing the youngsters enjoying the Lake and their tampolines/water slides and keeps the boat traffic at a courteous slow speed. I would also hate to hear that others started using someone else's water slide as launching pads for their PWCs as if it were the Dukes of Hazzard. None of us want to see obstacles and things that are a safety hazzard. Good safe fun for everyone!
Hope this clears it up, and that I have not offended anyone.

not offended at all, i just couldn't tell what you meant.
I think instead of a pier, i'm going to strap up about 20 of these things together. at least they can't harm a boats side.
