Lake Houston Pool Level

The website, www.lakesonline.com has a nice feature that allows one to view a chart of the lake pool level. Observing the chart, I have not been able to determine why the lake pool level drops off immediately after raising due to rainfall, specifically the rainfalls of Jan 9, Jan 25, and Feb 2 2012. The level increased as I would have expected but fell back down over the next day or so. I wouldn't expect that there is much demand so I'm wondering where the water is going. Anyone know?
