Interesting analysis by Goldman Sachs about how initial jobless claims, which are trending down, are meaningless in this type of business cycle.  Important to understand how when you sieze on one metric without having a clue is a fools game.  The following chart derived from DOL data tells you what is really happening which is of course consistent with the labor participation rate and unemployment numbers other than the meaningless U2.  Explains why there is a dichotomy between all the numbers and why retail sales are plunging.  The American people are seeing first hand what is really happening.

I must be the only one who does not have you on ignore. Otherwise, one of your puppets would have mentioned that your attachment won't open.  I truly believe that Archie is contolling your posts and, with him on ignore, your attachments just go directly to icloud.

Hey genius, Martini has said many times that he just doesn't read Archipoo's posts.  I, on the other hand, reluctantly invoked Iggy due to Archie's blatant hypocrisy.

What is most important is can you open his attachment?

If it is that important, tell me who you are and I will tell you if I can open it.

I tried to attach Exhibit 2 with no luck.

Cut n paste it. You can do better. Just be calm and try harder. I have confidence you can cut n paste. Maybe, Exhibit 2 is all in your mind. I read that failure to remember the simple cut n paste procedure  does at times indicate a slowing of the mind. Based on some of your recent off the wall comments about Arche.....and your fear that you show by putting him on ignore,  I suggest as a friend, that you seek some professional  help using your Obamacare policy.

Interesting. I could not find any mention of the large number of baby boomers retiring each month who do not file a claim and how that may distort the numbers.. If someone retires and is replaced...how does that effect his numbers? It is a new hire but offset by the retirement not a layoff. He says real growth of 160-200,000 per month.

The Fed did a study and determined that the percentage of people leaving the work force through retirement accounts for somewhere between 20% and 25% of the lower labor participation rate.  So even if you take them into account the labor participation rate being so low is very relevant.  Real unemployment is stuck at over 10%.
