Subject:   Carl Icahn's Obama Prophecy...

is coming true. Billionaire investor Icahn back in May 2008 predicted how BHO's policies if elected would impact the economy. So far some is coming true......According to a May22,2008 Bloomberg article by Michael McGee, Icahn made the following predictions:

BHO would be a terrible president
His election would lead to a loss of international confidence in the dollar, which would lead to accelerating inflation and much higher interest rates
"I don't think he understands economics"
BHO would go on a huge spending spree
Even worse would be a Dem president with a veto proof supermajority of 60 Dems in the Senate
It will be devastating.....then you could not stop runaway legislation.........

But, don't worry be happy.......the Dems mean well.....they're doing it for the children.......

Nothing Icahn said was a revelation. Rather, the same thing every Republican was saying about Obama prior to the election. Now, to say Obama is a bad president is still subjective. Some say yes and some say no. However, his statement that we will have inflation with high interest rates has not occurred.

What has occurred is that Icahn has lost over a billion with his investments in Yahoo and Ford. Now the second largest bank in Texas where he is an investor is on the verge of failure.

July 24 (Bloomberg) -- Guaranty Financial Group Inc., the Texas bank spun off in 2007 by a forest products company, may become the biggest lender to collapse this year, wiping out investments by billionaire Carl Icahn’s funds and Omni Hotels owner Robert Rowlin.

Icahn said he had taken a 9.8 percent stake in January 2008, when the stock was above $12, and called the shares undervalued. The shares now trade for 15 cents.

why not say what you think Obama is doing that is good and the right direction for the country. Where do you see his policies leading the country to? You are always defending him, but why. Stand up and state the reason for you support and belief in him. We have all said why we think he is bad for the country. Why do you think he is good? All you ever come back with is a childs response, well so and so did this.

He won't because he can't. There is nothing good to say about what Obama has done or is doing so he stays with the stale old "blame it all on Bush and the Republicans" drivel.

You know, those "prophecies" are pretty easy to make when the economy was tanking well before he took office. And it was pretty easy to predict that he would spend money when he said during the campaign that he was going to have a domestic agenda.
The Jury is still out on how history will judge Obama's Presidency. We already know what Republicans think, because they are constantly whining to the press and other media.
And I don't think anyone is "blaming" GWB at this point -- even Obama has said that the economy is now his problem. But, at the same time, let's remind ourselves about some of the things GWB did to contribute to where we are today.

I think the finger pointing is a waste of time. We are where we are, none of us know what is going to happen in the future. There are many variables to our economy other than just who sits in the WH. There isn't just one solution to the problem either.
