Bruce:

I am sure many people, both members and non members, read the posts on the various threads who do not actually post their own comment. I think it would be interesting if you could show number of views next to each topic posted. This appears on the various fishing, boating, and Apple forums I read.

Thanks for all your hard work making this Forum a great means of discussion.

Yes, post view counts too will be added.

How many of you people use the "View Entire Thread" option to view posts?... I often think people don't even see that. My stats show that less than 10% of people use that view mode and even less for the Beta view mode. We were going to make the Beta view mode default but it has not become popular. It was a complicated one to develop and in the end became more confusing than classic. I find myself using the Classic mode anyhow as I don't want to have to re-read posts I've already read. I think most people use link color to determine what they have not read. I've been told that Olive and Green link colors are not distinguishable for some color blind people.

Thanks for all of the suggestions.

Thanks for the response. I use the classic and use the view thread 100% of the time. I do find that in beta the expand does not work on my Apple and I have to open each reply under the post. I find classic works for me as I can see all responses by screen name under a posting and then have the option to open or move on.

The learning curve for classic is immediate. I am surprised only 10% use the view option, It opens an entire new perspective to speed read and avoid the mundane reading and going back to open the next one. I think once you have decided which option to use (I vote classic) a set of instructions on using it will enhance the use of the view option.
