You didnt give much infobut if it is a newer I/OIt may have digital throttle controls which have gone bad.  OUr SeaRay290 had the same issue.  When we took it in for 100 hour service I mentioned it to them and he suspected the digital throttle and checked it out and replaced it.  Lucky for us it was still under the extended warranty.  On the DTS mooving the throttle back to neutral resets the system
