From one who has helped put on a dinner cruise to benefit brain cancer research for the last 7 years, I would ask that you support any lake activity that is for a charitable cause. Those who work these events don't do it for fame and fortune and when there is little support it is discouraging. Lake people should be more than just folks who like to be around water. They should be a community that can depend on each other. Maybe a poker run isn't your thing, but you can go to one of the stops and contribute. Any support will be appreciated by the sponsors and certainly by the cause!
