I would second what Clearwater has said.

 When you raise the drive the flow intends to increase?
If there is a rip in the bellows it will tend to stretch and open up a split as the drive is raised. In all likley hood unless you have the proper sockets this is a marina job. While your at it, if your asked to replace the gimbal bearing, it's a good idea while you have it this far down. They are not jacking you up........ change it. just a good idea.
