Exactly, cause then you would only have hydrogen and the fish will not live in that environment.
Be very careful of what you take out of a lake and put into a fish tank! I have a 55 gallon with a breeding pair of Convict Cichlids and have put drift wood from the lake into it, what a nightmare that was, had an explosion of algae growth, even after boiling water had been used to clean the wood, same with rocks. Best use is tap water, use a start right chemical and wait three days before putting in the fish, after that water changes and cleaning water replaced can be used right after putting in the start right. What fish are you going to keep?
