I keep going back and reading that statement and then I realized it said they "have permission to keep the level up to 461"

On December 10, 2010, the Corps of Engineers approved an elevation variance for Logan Martin to store water up to elevation 461 msl

It only gives us hope they will raise the level to an operational level for boating but in reality only proves that APCO is going to do what they want to do and the impression something positive has been approved is really just garbage.

My question is why do politicians not get involved in raising the water level since this would obviously increase the tax revenue in several areas. Maybe APCO contributes to their campaigns in exchange for them shutting up......

I did get out last weekend and do pretty much what I intended considering the crappy weather all around but another foot of water would have been nice.
