I would say Chris Christie, but I haven't really seen enough of him to know for sure.
I wonder if his "Jersey style" would play well across the country. I like his personality and he has done a lot in NJ, which is not an easy state. And how would he play internationally?

Gen Petraeous is brilliant to be sure, but I'm not sure what he knows of economics, nor am I sure he can bring people together. He doesn't have business experience. He definitely knows the Washington landscape and he's shown himself tough enough to stand up to Congress. He's got the international chops.

I don't think Condoleeza Rice has any intentions of returning to Washington. She's also not an economics person. I thought she was a terrible NS Advisor, but turned out to be a surprisingly good at SecState. She really stirred things up.

Some of the names that have been mentioned I don't know. I sincerely hope they don't trot out any of the retreads -- Dole is in ill health, Newt has a propensity to put his foot in his mouth, and I just don't have a good feeling about Romney. I don't know what it is, but my gut tells me he's weak.
