From the Tallapoosa Country Sherrif's Dept: "The lake is closed until further notice". Chuck's Marina boat ramp has been closed, they have been told not to put customer boats in the water. Even if you are not close to the damage, as the river flows and the Dam generates power, its going to pull debris out of the affected sloughs. You cannot see enough under the water and safely drive your boat out there. In addition, the more people driving in and out of these sloughs, the more debris that are being pulled out. The Sherrif's Dept. has also arrested 3 for looting and yesterday while we were rescuing a sinking boat, were almost hit by someone too busy looking at the damage to watch where they were going. I won't be going back out until I get the all clear. Stay safe everyone and Prayers and condolences to those who lost so much.
