My suggestion would be Jomax Mildew Killer. Go by the instructions: 5% Jomax, 15% clorox, & 80% water. I would saturate evenly on the carpet using a garden sprayer to retain an even color all over the surface. Scrub with truck brush, preferably one approved for acid and bleach. Rinse thoroughly immediately after scrubbing.
Testing a small area first would be wise. The carpet needs to be dry when spraying on the jomax mix to prevent it from being diluted.
