Herman Cain is right. Except most people don't want to hear that. They expect that opportunities will just be presented to them; that they don't have to do a thing.

Was chatting with a woman I know through my cat network. She has a college education. She commented to me that she "chooses" to work 30 hours a week at 7.75 an hour (she is in health care - does the overnight shift in a group home) and that she couldn't afford to live if she wasn't living with her father. Now, she wasn't really complaining, and I know she isn't on public assistance of any kind, but it left me wondering WHY??? She's not married, has no children. I so wanted to ask her how she expects to retire. I know that she doesn't have health care.
