Septic tank has been in ground 20 years. Its a real tank... Not a homemade one. I have water where the tank meets the pipe going to fill line... All I wanted to do is repair or replace fill line. I understand from the contractor I spoke with that the county wants to me to hire a engineer to design a pump system.

   I know new lines have to be 50 feet from the lake (I am 25 - 38 feet away where the lines have been for 2o plis years)...

   Didnt this grandfather in or is everyone on the lake oneday going to have to do a engineered system???

    Its funny... Noone has even looked at my situation just hinted engineer a pump system...

Does Alabama Power have any say so over this?

    Please share your experience or thoughts about this...
