But who would have thought it would be about pot?!?!? So the states of Washington and Colorado passed laws in direct violation of Federal law. This is going to be interesting on several fronts:

First, with the Justice Dept. actually not enforce federal drug laws in these two states, especially since in Washington their liquor control board will be the controlling agency? Of course, we know Holder and company would go after them if they had the temerity to actually pass state laws to enforce federal on an issue like say, illegal immigration but who knows on this one.

Second, it will be interesting to see if the level of crime, vagrancy, government dependence, etc, increases in these two states as a result of the mass influx of potheads that will relocate there. Anyone who has been to Amsterdam can attest to the wasted lives slowly frying their brains and being a leech on society as they puff their way into a semi-comatose state.

Third, I am somewhat ambivalent about this because I believe in Federalism and if states want to do something that is destructive to their citizens, whether it is to legalize pot or raise taxes or whatever I think they should have at it. As for me, I would never live in either state because I know who will ultimately pay the price as they are flooded with potheads on welfare and food stamps because they can't hold a decent job. Of course there are limits to Federalism but I am not sure this one falls into that category regardless of how stupid and destructive it will be for them.

Oh and the canard that it will eliminate illegal pot sales is a total joke. The dealers will price their product under the government sold and taxed product which will be easier because they are a private business and will be much more efficient and tax free. Oh the delusions of the left.......
