You asked why seniors can't fend for themselves. My question to you is, "Why can't the jobless and welfare people fend for themselves?" I think seniors have contributed to social security and medicare in advance. I will admit many jobless people have contributed to unemployment as well as their employers have contributed. I don't think it was set up to last as long as it is lasting presently. What have the welfare crowd contributed to their existance other than more babies?
