Deficits go up each and every year..........so much for soaking the rich to solve our fiscal crisis. All the new spending in the bill, all the tax cuts for the crony capitalists like NASCAR, Star Kist, wind farm companies, etc. not only eat up all the additional revenue but causes the national debt to go up.

I am still pondering all the likely outcomes of this deal before I opine in any meaningful way but my preliminary read is that given their abysmal position and the outcome of no deal this is probably as good......or as less bad....as they could have gotten. I think working Americans are going to be shocked when they realize their taxes are going up with the FICA cut extension being excluded. Every wage earned from the lowest to the highest will be paying 2% more.
