If Obama violates the constitution and issues an executive order for gun confiscation I will not obey.  I am not part of the executive branch and he has no control over me except through normal legislative processes. His powers under executive orders only extends to enforcing existing laws which was how the first assault weapons ban was implemented.  If he tries to supersede the legislative process I won't obey and fortunately I live in a city and county where it will not be enforced.  Let the carnage happen elsewhere.

And if he somehow prevails then the next GOP president in their second term should on his first day in office rescind every single one of Obama's executive orders and then issue executive orders banning abortion, close down pmsnBS, the news divisions of aBS, cBS and nBS, the Washington Post, NY Times, LA Times, etc. (before they go out of business which is rapidly happening anyway), only allow FoxNews to be broadcast, etc.  All journalists should have to register with the federal government and they can only practice if the government authorizes them to do so.  Of course said authorization should be denied to any that criticize the President.  Hey, if its good enough for the 2nd Amendment it is good enough for the 1st Amendment, right?

I know you liberals love the idea but for once you need to think things through and recognize the can of worms that will be opened up by this. This is exactly what a monarch does....rule by fiat.  Do you really want that?  Are you ready for the full consequences?

BTW, here is a good summary of what executive orders can and can't do.
