Hurray!!!!! For the first time in over 2 years (since March 2011) the lake is at the full pool level of 1071 feet. We could still use some more rain, since it seems the Corps likes to overfill by about one foot at this time of year in preparation for the 6 months of drainage ahead of us.

We had an impressive amount of rain this winter, especially from mid-December to early February. I still don't get what happened on October 29 2012. From that date the lake level began a steep decline, plummeting 6 feet in 6 weeks. That's what put us in crisis mode. Before that it had only declined 4 feet in 6 months. The Corps must have had some downstream obligations to fulfill.
