That's the idea of secret talks......no one is supposed to know they are happening. For sure most of the quotes I have seen about this burden on congress and their staff come from Democrats like Steney Hoyer but my natural skepticism is kicking in. I hope this turns out to be a false and malicious rumor about the GOP even participating in these talks.

For the record this was Steele's first quote when asked about these alleged talks

“The speaker’s objective is to spare the entire country from the ravages of the president’s health care law. He is approached daily by American citizens, including members of Congress and staff, who want to be freed from its mandates. If the speaker has the opportunity to save anyone from Obamacare, he will.”

The last sentence is not exactly comforting is it? The later statement was more direct and implied that he was not interested in anything other than repeal.

NOTE TO GF: I have included a quotation. That means this is what the speaker said as recorded by others. A quote does not necessarily constitute a fact but may contain facts and factual information. I know this confuses you in separating the meaning of a fact and a quote.
