You are not alone as the govt media is in embargo mode on this. This looks really bad because the request to change the backup protocol came after the State Dept requested her emails. Someone clearly gave this a lot of thought and decided the best alternative was to change so old emails would not be retained and could not be given to State or the FBI or Congress.
What is ironic is that about five years ago because of legal requirements we had to spend a lot of money to make sure we retained backups of all emails for a period of five years. And this is only to be able to respond to a subpeona related to litigation, which may or may not even occur. To not do is is the equivalent of destroying evidence in a civil or criminal legal matter. I can assure you that those backed up emails contained tons of classified information being retained on yet another unclassified private server (her backup firm). Yet another source for foreign governments to obtain our secrets beyond the server in the bathroom closet. To me this is just unbelievable and probably yet another violation of law. And it looks like someone tried to cover it up. Nixon must be rolling over in his grave.....
