I understand, if you ever had direct or dish for a short time you would realize how far behind charter is in their technology though. I'm sure they have better features in the larger markets but here it is horrible. A lot of my problems were directly related to the local office and a couple of the employees, especially the grossly obese (notice I didn't call her FAT this time), ugly inside and out b¡tch that they had at the front counter for years and a couple of techs that were arrogant, lying, thieving SOB's.

In my ten years or so with Direct I've had less than an hour or so total loss of signal. It is usually 3-5 minutes at most and that is rare. Now the Internet is reasonably reliable but you have to check your speeds frequently because you will pay for 60 megs and get a fraction of that a lot of the time. When they first went to 15 megs I was still paying for 5 and they never got me over 1.5 megs. There solution was I should upgrade to 15.my response was why would I pay for 15 when you can't deliver the 5 I'm paying now.? The look on that kids face was priceless. You could tell they didn't give him a script for that scenario.
