Subject:   Jobs numbers are again a mixed bag
Date:   11/3/2017 11:23:41 AM

While unemployment (U-2) was the lowest in 17 years last month the labor participation rate continues to lag and wages are not growing quickly enough.  And most of last month's gains were a result of the service sector adding jobs lost during the hurricanes.  Fact is until we have some structural changes in the economy we will continue to see mediocre labor data.  The U-2 number has always been a farce and continues to be a farce.
